How to Calculate Your Life Path Number
- 1Write out your full date of birth in DD-MM-YYYY format. For example: 15-08-1990.
- 2Add the digits of the day on their own: 1+5 = 6.
- 3Add the digits of the month on their own: 0+8 = 8.
- 4Add the digits of the year on their own: 1+9+9+0 = 19. If that's more than one digit, reduce it again: 1+9 = 10, then 1+0 = 1.
- 5Add the three reduced numbers together: 6+8+1 = 15.
- 6Reduce that total to a single digit or master number: 1+5 = 6. The Life Path Number here is 6.
- 7One exception: if you land on 11, 22, or 33 at any point, stop reducing. These are Master Numbers and keep their full value.
Master Numbers in Numerology
Master Numbers, 11, 22, and 33, are special vibrations in Pythagorean numerology that don't get reduced to single digits, because they carry a higher-octave frequency with its own karmic weight. They're treated as more spiritually evolved and more demanding than single-digit Life Path Numbers.
